HAND Announces Expansion to Self-Managed Property Management

by | Jan 30, 2025 | Community | 0 comments

As part of our continued commitment to providing quality affordable housing, HAND is excited to announce that we will transition to self-managed property management! By March 31, 2025, we will take full oversight of our 157 rental units, ensuring better service, accountability, and resident care. HAND’s Board of Directors approved this transition in October 2024, recognizing the need for a more mission-driven approach to property management.

Why is HAND Moving to Self-Management?

For over two decades, HAND has worked to expand housing options and advocate for equitable, affordable communities in Hamilton, Boone, and Tipton counties. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to create housing solutions that allow individuals and families to thrive. This transition allows us to directly align our property management approach with our values and vision.

By bringing management in-house, we will:
– Improve responsiveness to resident needs
– Ensure efficient property maintenance and oversight
– Strengthen financial stewardship and transparency
– Enhance resident engagement and support services

Growing Our Team to Support This Transition

To successfully transition to self-management, HAND is expanding our team! We are currently hiring for key positions to help us provide top-tier service and care for our residents. If you or someone you know is passionate about affordable housing and community impact, please contact us.

What This Means for Our Residents

Residents of HAND’s 157 rental units can expect a seamless transition with enhanced service and communication. Our goal is to create a stronger, more connected housing experience that prioritizes residents’ well-being and ensures all maintenance, financial, and operational tasks are handled with care and efficiency.
