HAND Inc. is thrilled to announce its next affordable rental housing development: Stony Creek Duets, located in Noblesville, Indiana. This exciting project reflects our ongoing commitment to addressing the growing need for quality, affordable housing in Hamilton County.
The Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority has awarded HAND the funding to construct three three-bedroom duplexes on the site at 1500 Greenfield Ave., a property HAND acquired earlier this year. The existing manufactured home on the site will be demolished to make way for the new development, which is designed to provide affordable housing options for families.
Construction is expected to begin this spring, with the new homes slated for completion by the end of 2025. Each unit will offer modern, energy-efficient features and adhere to Universal Design principles to ensure accessibility for all residents.
In addition to the initial phase, HAND is actively planning a proposed second phase of development on the adjacent parcel at 1488 Greenfield Ave. The organization will apply for construction funding in March, aiming to build an additional six to eight rental units on this site. These expansions will further HAND’s mission of creating vibrant, inclusive communities where everyone has access to a place they can call home.
The Hamilton County Community Development Block Grant program provided funding for the land acquisition, which is conveniently located near the playground behind Stony Creek Elementary School. This proximity offers residents an ideal location for families to thrive.
