Celebrating the Grand Opening of Cumberland Cottages!
On August 1st, at 10 a.m., we proudly cut the ribbon to our newest affordable housing community, Cumberland Cottages. This is HAND’s first property in Fishers. A future resident of Cumberland Cottages was in attendance and given the honors of cutting the ribbon. The event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our latest project and bring together the community, partners, and supporters who made it all possible.
A Warm Welcome
Guests were greeted with refreshments generously donated by Starbucks, along with delightful custom HAND sugar cookies and donuts from Parlor Doughnuts. The morning was filled with excitement as attendees mingled, enjoyed the treats, and learned about the property.
Open House Tours
Three units were open for guests to tour, allowing them to get a firsthand look at the quality and thoughtful design of our homes. Cumberland Cottages is an 11-unit rental community located at the southwest corner of Cumberland Road and 141st Street in Fishers. It includes four duplexes and three detached cottages, each equipped with a one-car garage. This community was built with families in mind and features seven 3-bedroom units and four 2-bedroom units. The homes are arranged around shared spaces in a cottage court design, fostering a sense of community. A community garden, featuring eight raised garden beds and two ADA-compliant beds, adds to the charm and functionality of the space.

Leasing and Management
Herron Property Management, which professionally manages all HAND properties, including 10 affordable rental communities with over 150 apartments across Hamilton, Boone, and Tipton counties, will handle leasing for Cumberland Cottages. The property is fully leased as of August 8, 2024.
